PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia Commits to Provide New Innovation and Solution to the Build Better Cities

Lafarge Indonesia as part of the Lafarge global group, approaching 2015 has reinforced its commitment to build better cities. As part of the global initiative, this commitment is triggered by the rapid growth of cities around the world, including Indonesia 

"Up to now, our data indicated that at least more than 50% of Indonesians live in cities and annually around 2.5 million people move to cities to live better life," said Antony Ricolfi, Country CEO Lafarge Indonesia. "The situation encourages us to execute this mission : Building Better Cities," he added.

 

Antony Ricolfi emphasized that the challenge that cities around the world is facing including Indonesia, is getting more complex, and this has pushed Lafarge Indonesia not only to produce and offer products but also to provide solutions to cities in building better cities. "In Indonesia, especially in the northern part of Sumatra, our commitment is materialized in a program called Rumahku, a program that offers solution for customers to own affordable houses. This scheme is made possible by the partnership of Lafarge Indonesia with several banks, micro finance institutions, retailers, contractors, university and Indonesian association of architects," he emphasized.

 

"Partnership with Bank Mandiri, BRI and Bank Muamalat is expected to provide a financing solution in affordable house ownership," said Antony Ricolfi. "On the other hand, our partnership with B-Panel will ensure that the building material we use has good quality, strong, resistant to earthquake as well as able to isolate sound or temperature, " he said.

 

Innovation is also one of many solutions that Lafarge Indonesia offers to its consumers and this comes through its new innovative products with environmentally friendly technical specification. "Wallcrete is one of Lafarge Indonesia's latest innovation that we recently launched," said Antony Ricolfi. "This product is the newest choice for consumers to obtain a much smoother wall but allows some flexibility in presenting some creative touch," he said.

 

Entering 2015, Lafarge Indonesia keeps innovating in providing solutions to its consumers. "Along with the rapid growth of cities in Indonesia, we also try to fulfill the need to build better cities in Indonesia through various solutions that we provide, " he said.
