We operate in Indonesia through PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia (formerly PT Semen Andalas Indonesia) and has been operating in Northern Sumatra since 1984. Our plant is located in the Aceh province at the northern tip of Sumatra. We contribute around 2 million tons from the national cement sales.
Lafarge owns private port in Lhoknga and terminals (packing plant) with shipping facilities in Lhokseumawe, Belawan, Batam and Dumai.
The factory reconstruction started in 2007 using the latest technology and complied with international standards after hit by tsunami in December 2004 and killed around 200 of Lafarge employees destroying two thirds of its factory in Aceh.

Started from 2012, in order to become a prominent market leader in Northern Sumatera region, new innovative products that meets environmentally friendly specifications are being developed and constanstly developing innovative and affordable housing solutions by partnering with major indonesian banks (BRI & Mandiri) and the Indonesian Architect Association (IAI).
